Dear Family,

Happy late Thanksgiving!! Hope everyone had a good week and ate way too much food and pie.  I know that I did but we also played a bunch of sports that day so it all worked out.  We have been getting up in the mornings at 530 to go work out with this guy in the ward named Justin.  He is semi-active but since we started working out with him he has been coming almost every week!  It is awesome for both us and him.  We get a trainer and someone to help us out he has been asking more questions and figuring out what he needs in his life to help him out.  We normally just go over to the community college, Linn Benton and do some stairs and run on the track and then we will do some random stuff like jumping fences which surprisingly helps out a ton and is a really good workout!

Our Thanksgiving was pretty good, we had only one dinner, we didn't try and over do it.  We did have breakfast in the morning with the minks which was super fun and then played some football with some peeps from the ward.  Riding a bike for so long has actually made me faster it is pretty weird.  We also got up early and played some dodgeball and basketball with the other missionaries.  We do that occasionally it is a ton of fun!

We had a really slow week teaching wise and were able to do a lot of finding... again.  But the whole mission was challenged by president young this week to try and talk to at least ten more people everyday.  He felt like were weren't trying to open our mouths as often as we should and so we took that to heart and didn't race around but really took the time to look for opportunities that we didn't plan.  It was very cool, we were able to find lots more people that have potential and a new investigator named A.J..  We also ran into a less active guy named Jared Larsen.  He hasn't been to church in a few years only because he said that he feels bad because he was in the military and had to do things that make him feel guilty.  We were able to have a really good lesson with him right off the bat and he warmed up to us pretty quick and we are going back to teach him again on Tuesday night.

Ike and Delores are doing okay I guess.  I didn't get to see them this week but Elder Cooper and Elder Clements did when they were on exchanges on Saturday.  It was pretty funny, I was in Corvallis during the Civil war game, it was packed everywhere you went, and Oregon State lost!  ha ha everyone around here was so convinced that they were going to dominate.  Go Ducks!  I am bummed though, I was hoping that they would make it to the national championship, they said we might get to watch it if they did ha ha.  But its alright, anyway, Trona and his kids no longer have a date because they didn't come to church the past two weeks and so we have to move it back until the come.  It is very frustrating but I have had to work my tail off for all of the other baptisms so why would this one be any different?  We have a money week planned because we set up a ton of lessons with potentials and new investigators.

We went golfing today, that's why this is later in the day, it was awesome but it was extremely wet!!  I love you all very much!

Love,
Elder Erickson
